Strike: Labour Congress Member Fumes Says All Politicians will Collect Wotowoto

Labour Congress Member

A member of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) has expressed outrage over the widespread corruption and inequality in the country, singling out politicians for their alleged theft of billions of naira and lavish spending on their families while ordinary citizens struggle to make ends meet.

The NLC member, who spoke anonymously, lamented that politicians collect massive salaries and allowances, including N37 million monthly, while graduates are forced to accept meager minimum wages of N30,000. The member also criticized the practice of hiring unqualified individuals as special assistants (SAs) to politicians, earning upwards of N400,000 monthly, while qualified graduates are left behind.

The member’s comments reflect growing frustration among Nigerians over the country’s pervasive corruption and inequality. The NLC has vowed to take action, threatening to “collect wotowoto” against politicians who continue to exploit the system.
