Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, has approved a one-month palliative bonus for civil servants and pensioners in the state. The bonus, worth N10,000 for civil servants and N5,000 for pensioners, aims to alleviate the effects of economic hardship and provide relief during the upcoming Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
According to a statement by the Permanent Secretary, Public Service Office, Alhaji Bukar Kilo, the total cost of the bonus stands at N320 million for state civil servants and pensioners, and N375.9 million for local government staff and pensioners.
The governor’s gesture is expected to boost the morale of civil servants and pensioners, and they are encouraged to reciprocate by committing to their duties and praying for the success of the administration.
This move demonstrates Governor Buni’s commitment to supporting the welfare of civil servants and pensioners in Yobe State.
