In a chat with journalists to mark the one year anniversary of the Abia State House of Assembly, Emmanuel Emeruwa (LP), Speaker of the House had threatened to revoke all contracts with Innoson Vehicles in 15 days time, if vehicles for Assembly members were not provided despite full payments by the Abia Government.
Questions might be asked on why we haven’t had our vehicles till now! It’s because of some business people that are untruthful, because right from the onset the Governor or this administration wanted to promote local content, that’s why we resolved to go by innoson vehicles.
Innoson has received all the money required for him to produce the vehicles for House of Assembly members but he has reneged more than 10 times from releasing those vehicles.
Yes, the one my Deputy and I are using was already procured by the Governor and because of the need for us to have something on ground, he gave us those ones made for him.
