The Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District and the leading aspirant for the upcoming Anambra State Governorship Election under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, CON, has commenced consultative visit to the party’s stakeholders in Anambra Central to brief them on his intention to contest the party’s Gubernatorial Primary that will take place next year.

In line with his determination to reach out to all stakeholders of the party, Senator Ubah on Tuesday July 2, 2024, visited Hon Chris Chikwelu (Ichelle Agulu) at his country home in Agulu of Aniocha Local Government Area. Speaking during the visit, Senator Ubah appreciated Hon Chikwelu for his efforts to strengthen the party in Anambra State and disclosed that he was there to officially inform him about his intention to contest the next Gubernatorial Primary of the party.

Senator Ubah who was accompanied by key stakeholders of the party in the South-East also pledged to put in more efforts to promote the party’s ideology, and urged Hon Chikwelu to support his aspiration. He also pledged not to disappoint the party if elected as its candidate.

Responding, Hon Chikwelu appreciated Senator Ubah for his contributions to promote the party’s ideology. He also appreciated him for his patriotism and blessed his aspiration.

Also with Senator Ubah at the visit were Ambasador Jerry Ugokwe, Hon Peter Okoye, Hon Peter Madubueze, Hon J C Okeke, Dr Amobi Nwaokafor, Dozie Ikedife Jr, Ichie Mike Ejezie, Chief Dennis Ngene, Hon Chidi Okoye, Prof. Nick Eze, Lord Mike Mbanefo and Prof. Victor Ukaogo.
