Nigerian Army Completes Over 300 Intervention Projects

The Nigerian Army has successfully executed over 300 intervention projects across the six geopolitical zones of the country, according to the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja. The projects, aimed at winning the hearts and minds of Nigerians, have been undertaken to support government efforts in mitigating security challenges.

The COAS made this disclosure while commissioning projects in Lutheran Primary School, Nung Udoe, Akwa Ibom State, including the rehabilitation of classrooms, construction of a perimeter fence, borehole, and toilet facilities. He emphasized the Nigerian Army’s commitment to civil-military cooperation and non-kinetic efforts to enhance the socio-cultural well-being of communities.

The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa, and the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umoh Eno, also commended the projects, highlighting the importance of collaboration and cooperation between the military and civilian populations.
