Fortune Family Of Friends Club (FFOFC) Reaches Out To Mothers & Children At Lagos State Eti Osa Mother & Child Hospital (Photos)

As we marched into the second half of the year 2024, the FORTUNE FAMILY OF FRIENDS CLUB (FFOFC) led by President, Engr. Gerald Azonobo, members of the Executive Council and the entire body of founders visited mothers and children at the Lagos State Eti Osa Mother & Child Hospital, Ogombo, Lekki, on the 10th of July 2024. As part of the yearly community empowerment and support programs of FFOFC, the purpose of this community exercise is to provide financial assistance to nursing and pregnant mothers who are unable to pay up their medical bills as well as that of their new born babies and children.

The management of the hospital were delighted to welcome the club as this marks a second visit to the hospital. Upon arrival, the FFOFC club members were ushered into the Social & Welfare conference room where they were addressed by the leadership and doctors of the hospital intimating the club on the health conditions of the admitted children and mothers. The club requested to see all affected patients and expressed their concerns and intent of visiting them at the hospital.

During the discourse between the club and the management of the hospital, there were some critical cases that needed immediate addressing, like a 6 day old baby with jaundice, and and a pregnant woman that needs full care including the cost of delivery, amongst others. On this note, the club requested to see some of these patients in their individual wards and they were ushered around to see for themselves. On this premise, the club took all cases presented by the management of the hospital as top priority and presented bank cheques to clear all thier bills (hospital, prescribed drugs and others). The affected mothers were so happy with act of kindness extended by the FFOFC and expressed their profound gratitude. The club also presented some plastic chairs to the hospital.

The leadership of the hospital was in awe of appreciation to the club as this same exercise was done in 2022 at the same establishment by FFOFC. At the end of the presentation the president of the club expressed his sincere gladness commending the cleanliness of the hospital.

The Fortune Family of Friends Club is a non-governmental organization founded in 2016 by eleven family-like friends who thought it wise to strengthen their long-term friendship by being responsible for one another through a social club. The Club membership of professionals, businessmen, entrepreneurs, politicians and good ambassadors who are vested in the service to humanity, community growth and civic duties to enhance a better society irrespective of race, religion or tribe. FFOFC is an organization that works to protect and expand friendship, family, business, industry, good government, and the quality of life in the society. The Club works behind the scenes to make many positive things happen for the society. The FFOFC is funded solely by Membership dues, levies, fines and public donations, and as such, requires the support of many businesses, organizations and individuals as possible to continue its effective service to foster a proverbial village for society and economic development plan.
