The Anambra State Police Command has launched a massive manhunt for the assailants responsible for the abduction incident along Ifite-Amansea road, Awka. The incident, which occurred on July 13, 2024, was captured on video and has sparked widespread concern.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the Command has recovered the abandoned vehicle of the victims and has deployed joint security measures to forestall further abductions in the state.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Nnaghe Obono Itam, has vowed to leave no stone unturned in hunting down the assailants and rescuing the victims. The Police Command has assured citizens that it is working tirelessly to ensure their safety and security.
