President Tinubu Presides Over FEC Meeting, Pays Tribute to Late Former Member

President Bola Tinubu is currently presiding over the Federal Executive Council, FEC, meeting, at the Council Chamber, Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Before the commencement of the council meeting, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Senator George Akume, formally notified the council of the passing of Ahmed Muhammed Gusua , a former cabinet member.
The council then observed a minute silence in honour of the late former council member,who died on May 25, 2024.

Recall that at the last Council meeting, it was directed that all planned procurement of all ministries, departments and agencies, especially, some major projects of the Ministry of Works, should be reviewed to ensure better budget implementation.

Also, the Attorney General of the Federation, AGF and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi, SAN, had said that President Tinubu directed a review of procurement act to provide better basis for performance as regards infrastructural development.

Those in attendance at the meeting include the Vice President, Senator Kassim Shettima, the National security Adviser, NSA, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, the Head of Civil service of the Federation, Dr. Folashade Yemi Esan and the Chief of Staff, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila.
