Today, I join the rest of the good people of Ondo Central Senatorial District, Ondo State and Nigeria at large to celebrate this ICON on this special occasion of his Birthday being 17th July, 2024. My own most Distinguish Senator Patrick Ayo Akinyelure..,you will live long Sir in good health, sound mind and abundance of heavenly blessing, for you have done greatly in many peoples’ lives and it is only normal that almighty God bless you in return.
Distinguished Senator Patrick Ayo Akinyelure is a Nigerian Banker, FCA, a fellow of both Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN), a grassroots Politician, a Leader per excellence and the Chairman, Allover Group. He was elected to the Nigerian Senate to represent the good people of Ondo Central Senatorial District in Ondo State in the 2011 and 2019 general elections on the platforms of Labour Party and Peoples’ Democratic Party respectively.
The Distinguish Senator believes in entrepreneurship skills and empowering Nigerian youth by providing job opportunities for many that cut-across the entire Ondo State and even Nigeria at large. Hence, his past and present services to the public & private sectors of the Nigerian economy cannot be overemphasized. Senator Ayo Akinyelure is a resourceful and results-oriented political leader, a seasoned Manager of Human Resource and a Motivator to many Nigeria youth.
It is important to chronicle some of his numerous achievements as a business man and a leader in the Nigeria political circle. As a first time Senator in the 7th and 9th Assembly, Akinyelure demonstrated enormous skills of a good leader, who not only speaks of youth empowerment but facilitated the employment into the Nigeria Federal Service over 1,300 eligible applicants.
Today, many of those nominees have grown within the rank and files of the service, with some risen to the Directorate cadre. The economic impact of this singular action of the people’s Senator has created in the life and community of such nominees cannot be overstated.
The youth and community empowerment he has delivered to his people as part of dividends of democracy is compared to none in the Nigeria Senate. Having established skills acquisition centres in his senatorial district and empowered many youth financially and with equipments to start their own businesses, the people’s senator have not rested in delivering the quality of good leadership to his people. Despite not serving at the moment in the Nigeria Senate, he has continued to empower his people through scholarships and invested in the dream of some of the youth in his senatorial district by distributing vehicles to support their transportation businesses.
For your determination to mentor and grow the good people of Ondo State and many other Nigerian youth, you will forever be celebrated and posterity will be remembered for your good works and impactful effort to have a productive Nigeria.
