The Presidential Candidate from the Labour Party (LP) of the just concluded General Election, Peter Obi in a post he made Via his official X account appealed to the good citizens of the country, especially his supporters that all gifts intended for his 63rd birthday celebration should be donated to care homes, schools, and hospitals, which would greatly benefit from their generosity, and he redirected the resources he would have used for his celebrations towards supporting critical areas such as health, education, and poverty alleviations in the country.
According to TheCable, the Presidential Candidate from the Labour Party (LP) of the just concluded General Election, Peter Obi said “I also appeal that all gifts intended for my birthday be donated to care homes, schools, and hospitals, which will greatly benefit from your generosity. I have therefore personally, redirected the resources I would have used for celebrations toward supporting critical areas such as health, education, and poverty alleviation. I firmly believe that through these sacrifices, God Almighty will grant your heartfelt wishes for me and answer our prayers. Thank you for your kind thoughts and prayers.”
The former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi added that urged the good citizens of the country to present themselves, as political leaders, to God, so that God might touch their hearts to make sacrifices and utilize public resources for the progress and development of the country. He also called on the people organizing events and spending funds in celebration of his birthday, to remain faithful to the country
