A group of Nigerian youths is planning a 10-day nationwide protest from August 1 to 10, 2024, to draw attention to the hunger and hardship faced by a large majority of the population.
Governors and security agencies are concerned and have called for dialogue, urging the organisers to reconsider, stating that the issues are being addressed.
The federal government is also aware of the protest plans and has identified the organizers and their alleged overseas collaborators, taking steps to prevent what they have referred to as subversive activities.
