Imposition of Iyaloja

Market women under the aegis of Edo State Market Women Association have embarked on a peaceful protest around the King Square axis and Oba Market in Benin City to register their displeasure over an alleged plan to install an Iyaloja of Edo Market Women this Thursday by the Iyaloja of Lagos, Folasade Tinubu-Ojo.

The leader, Blackky Ogiamen, on behalf of the market women drawn from the three senatorial districts, vehemently rejected the alleged plan, saying that it is an act of imposition.
