Abuja- THE Senator representing Anambra North Senatorial District, Senator Dr Tony Nwoye, mourns the passing of Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, the President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide, lamenting that Igbo nation has lost a great man,patriot and Elderstatesman per excellence.
Senator Nwoye described the death as a great loss to Igbo race and end of an era in Igbo land.
Senator Dr Tony Nwoye Extolled the virtues of the late Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo President, acknowledging his remarkable and significant contributions to various sectors, particularly in the social, sports, economic and political development of Nigeria.
Dr Tony Nwoye said that the late Elder Statesman Ahaejiagamba Ndigbo lived a purposeful life dedicated to the service of humanity and he will be remembered for his good deeds,philanthropism,bridge building and worthy legacies. Nwoye prayed for the eternal rest of his soul.
Senator Nwoye described the late Sage as his Benefactor and Mentor during Dr Tony Nwoye’s days as Student/Youth Activist.
Chief Iwuanyanwu, a Civil Engineer, was born on 4th September 1942. A politician and businessman, considered as one of the richest Igbo men, Iwuanyanwu became the 11th president-general of Ohaneze Ndigbo following the death of the former president general, Professor George Obiozor.
