The Enugu State Independent Electoral Commission (ENSIEC) hereby announces an extension of the deadline for Political Party Primary Elections.
Political Party Primary Elections has been extended from August 12, 2024, to August 19, 2024.
ENSIEC deemed it necessary to extend the deadline for Political Party Primary Elections in order to ensure a comprehensive and inclusive electoral process. This extension will also provide political parties with additional time to conduct their primaries in a manner that guarantees the full participation of all party members.
We understand the importance of timely electoral activities and assure the public that this extension is made in the best interest of free, fair, and credible elections in Enugu State.
We urge all political parties and stakeholders to utilize this extended period effectively and to adhere to the new deadline.
