Atiku’s Naked Dance At The Market Square

Atiku

By: Tony Obi

Atiku has stripped himself off the appearance of a democrat and a statesman all in a bid to grab power at all cost: what a NAKED DANCE OF AN ELDER AT THE MARKET SQUARE. The one time democrat and elder stateman turned secret financier of insecurity, is now an open advocate of anarchy. It is now clear that Atiku is not only angry at President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for defeating him in the last general elections, but also very angry at Nigerian electorates for voting against him for which he wants to punish us all by sponsoring and advocating for insurrection and anarchy that will set the country ablaze and cause wanton destructions of lives and properties of Nigerians.

Atiku’s overdrive towards power has never been hidden but what was scarcely known was his efforts to ruin Nigeria anytime he fails to win an election. Immediately Atiku failed to win PDP primary in 2011, Atiku and his co-travelers threatened to make Nigeria ungovernable for Jonathan. To the surprise of many, what happened was the rise of insurgency in Nigeria which led to loss of lives of over a million people, mainly women and children and loss of properties worth trillions of Naira, all because of Atiku’s ambition.  Many Nigerian family were permanently damaged beyond repair to the joy and satisfaction of Atiku as a Price for failing to elect him.

When Atiku was running for presidency in 2019, the Boko Haram crisis received a boost from Atiku to start attacking everywhere to increase his chances of victory. He however was rejected by the Nigerian electorates who were beginning to suspect his romance with the insurgents. After the 2019 Elections, the Atiku’s army of terrorists, launched an all out offensive in the Northwest with wanton destructions in preparation for 2023 general elections. And when he lost in 2023, the Atiku’s mandate of “operation destroy Nigeria” took a new shameless dimension, as he shamelessly removed his then perforated borrowed garment of a democrat and a stateman to gleefully dance naked at the market square.

After his efforts to overthrow the democratically elected Government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu through a combined army of terrorists, gullible journalists, terror advocates (masquerading as activists) failed to succeed, Atiku now threatens Nigerian Law enforcement and security institutions for stopping his army of anarchists and insurrectionists from realising their evil agenda. On 6th of August 2024, as Atiku found out that his terrorists and bandits who invaded many Northern cities, killing policemen and innocent citizens, setting churches and public buildings ablaze, and invading government houses and calling for overthrow of President Tinubu Presidency while waving Russian flags in allegiance to the juntas in Niger Republic, Burkina Faso and Mali, have failed to achieve his ultimate goal, the defiant Atiku on X (formerly known as twitter) said: ” I wish to convey a stern caution to the distinguished service chiefs and military commanders of Nigeria’s armed forces that those who authorised the use of lethal force against peaceful civilian protesters will be held responsible for committing crimes against humanity, even in the years following their retirement  from service. The constitutional right to engage in protest is firmly established within our supreme law and reinforced by the judiciary. It is the solemn duty of the government and security agencies to ensure a safe and protected environment for individuals exercising their rights to peaceful protesters. -AA”.

THE RIGHT OF THE PEOPLE: The fundamental rights as contained in Chapter four of The Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended) are sections: 33: Right to Life; 34: Right to dignity of human person; 35: Right to personal liberty; 36: Right to fair hearing; 37: Right to private and family life; 38: Right to freedom of thought, conscience  and religion; 39: Right to freedom of expression and press; 40: Right to peaceful assembly and association; 41: Right to freedom of movement; 42: Right to freedom from discrimination; 43: Right to acquire and own property anywhere in Nigeria; 44: Right to protection of proprietary right; 45: Right of the Government to restrict and derogate from the fundamental rights.

GOVERNMENT FUNDAMENTAL RIGHT TO GOVERN AND MAINTIAN PEACEFUL, SAFE AND ORDERLY SOCIETY: Incidental to the primary purpose and duty of the Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as enshrined in section 14(2)(b) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended) which provides: “the security and welfare of the people shall be the primary purpose of the government.”;  is the fundamental right to govern with force of law guaranteed to the government by the Constitution to enable it fulfill its afore-mentioned obligations. Section 45(1) of the Constitution provides for the guarantee of the government’s fundamental right to derogate and restrict right to privacy, right to freedom of thought, conscience; right to freedom of expression and press; right to freedoms of peaceful assembly and association; and right to freedom of movement in a democratic society –

This background became necessary to show the shallowness and emptiness of Atiku’s treasonable threat to the service chiefs and field commanders. It  beats all sense of rationality how in the widest definition of “peaceful protesters” anyone but Atiku could term the Atiku’s funded insurrectionists and terrorists who rampaged northern cities: hoisting Russian flags and openly inviting Russian’s Wanger mercenary to invade our country;  killing innocent citizens; and destroying properties; as peaceful protesters. For the man who must rule Nigeria or he destroy her, his terrorists footmen are democracy campaigners and he doesn’t give a dam if we all perish at the altar of his inordinate ambition.

The Constitution he wrongly cited is clear on the guaranteed rights of Government to restrict and derogate even peaceful assembly, expression, association, movement, in the interest of public order, peace, safety and morality, etc. Well, for Atiku and his co-travelers, the loss of lives and properties and the chaotic atmosphere and perplexity he cast over the nation for days now can be defined as peaceful, safe, moral and orderly. WHAT A NAKED DANCE AT MARKET SQUARE.

Finally, it is my firm belief as a believer in the rule of Law and equality of all before the law that Atiku and his co-travelers should not be above the law, if we operate a constitutional democracy where everyone is equal before the law, he should be arrested and made to answer for all his crimes.
