Chelsea FC has announced the signing of João Félix from Atlético Madrid on a permanent deal, marking a significant transfer coup for the Blues. The Portuguese forward has agreed to a contract until June 2030, with an option to extend.
Félix, who previously played for Chelsea on a six-month loan during the 2022-2023 season, will return to Stamford Bridge after a successful spell that saw him score four goals in 16 Premier League appearances.
The deal, facilitated by Félix’s agent Jorge Mendes, is seen as a major statement of intent from Chelsea, who are looking to bolster their attacking options ahead of the new season.
Travel and medical tests are scheduled for the next 24 to 48 hours to finalize the transfer, with Félix expected to join his new teammates shortly.
