Former Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano State has denied having interest in the 2027 presidential election, contrary to posters circulating on social media suggesting he would contest with Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State as his running mate.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Working Committee (NWC) has also disclaimed the posters, describing them as “entirely false and a malicious piece of fake news.”

In a statement signed by Edwin Olofu, Chief Press Secretary to the APC National Chairman, the party categorically stated that Ganduje remains loyal to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and is committed to supporting his vision and leadership.

The APC accused mischief-makers, possibly in collaboration with elements within the Kwankwassiyya movement, of creating disaffection between Ganduje and President Tinubu.

The party urged the public to disregard the fabricated story and refrain from spreading unverified information.
