In a significant breakthrough, the Lagos State House of Assembly has successfully intervened in the long-standing land dispute involving the Ojomu family of Ajiran, bringing relief to all parties involved.
Abu Abel, whose land was at the center of the controversy, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Assembly for their swift action. “I am thankful for the intervention of the Lagos State Assembly, led by Hon. Obasa and with the consent of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu,” he said.
The dispute had taken a dramatic turn when a faction of the Ojomu family attempted to seize and resell Abu Abel’s land, falsely accusing him of being a land grabber. They had also made baseless claims of ownership ties to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his son, Mr. Seyi Tinubu.
Abu Abel clarified that the President, his son, and the Chief of Staff had no personal interest in his land. He apologized for any misunderstanding and commended Governor Sanwo-Olu and Speaker Obasa for their timely intervention.
With the Assembly’s intervention, a peaceful resolution is now within sight. Abu Abel urged all parties to remain calm and trust the process. The Lagos State Government’s prompt action has averted a potential crisis, reinforcing the state’s commitment to justice and fairness.
