BREAKING: Navy Uncovers 2 Illegal Refineries In Delta Creeks

Operatives of the Nigerian Navy have destroyed two illegal refineries in the Delta community of Otumara, in Warri South West local government area of the state.

In a statement made available to newsmen in Warri by the Nigerian Navy director of information Adams Aliyu, said five dug out pits, two wooden boats and tanks belonging to oil thieves were set ablaze.

According to the Navy information director, the Delta Navy command with support from the escravos base stormed the camp through intelligence gathering, which led to the uncovering of the illegal refinery site in a remote creek of Otumara.

The oil thieves were said to have fled the scene immediately the special squad of the Nigerian Navy team stormed the illegal refineries sites, as most of the illegal refined products went up in flames.
