Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed, has bid farewell to three young Quranic reciters who were awarded overseas scholarships to study in India. The trio, including Ibrahim Mohammed Nasir, who emerged second-best in the world during a recent Quranic recitation competition in Saudi Arabia, were seen off by the Governor at the Government House.
Governor Mohammed commended the three Quranic reciters for making Bauchi State and Nigeria proud globally. He pledged his continued support and charged them to be good ambassadors of Bauchi State and Nigeria by focusing on their studies to make a positive impact on the state’s growth and development.
The State Commissioner of Religious Affairs and Societal Reorientation, Yakubu Ibrahim Hamza, presented the trio to Governor Mohammed and expressed gratitude for the gesture. Hamza commended the Governor for his magnanimity, stating that all necessary expenses for their studies had been covered.
The three students will pursue various fields of study, including Cyber Security, Medical Laboratory Technology, and Cardiovascular Technology. Ibrahim Muhammad Nasir, who won second place in the global Quranic recitation competition, will study Cyber Security.
The Governor’s support for these students demonstrates his commitment to empowering young talent and promoting education in Bauchi State.
