The Bauchi State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has elected new officials to run the party’s affairs for the next four years. The election, which was described as orderly by the Chairman of the Electoral Committee, Ambassador Umar El-Gash, saw all candidates returned unopposed.
The newly elected officials include Pharmacy Sama’ila Burga as Chairman, Alhaji Falalu Attah as Deputy Chairman, Bakoji Aliyu Bobo as Secretary, and others.
In his remarks, Ambassador El-Gash charged the new officials to uphold the spirit of transparency and accountability in line with the party’s guiding principles.
Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, represented by his Deputy, Muhammad Auwal Jatau, congratulated the new officials on their election and expressed confidence in their ability to deliver on their mandate. He charged them to build on the achievements of their predecessors to ensure the PDP maintains its position as the ruling party in the state.
The event featured voting, announcement of results, and administration of the oath of office and allegiance to the newly elected officials.
The new officials are expected to work together to strengthen the party and ensure its continued dominance in Bauchi State politics.
