Afrobeat sensation Davido has responded to a fan who advised him to concentrate on his music career and steer clear of politics.
This is coming after the singer recently took to X to call out the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), accusing them of election malpractice.
His involvement in the Edo State election raised eyebrows, with many questioning why he was so invested despite not being from the state.
In a follow-up post, Davido explained that his late mother, Imade Veronica Adeleke, was from Edo State, justifying his interest in the election.
An X user, @Riddwane urged the singer to face music and leave politics alone. He wrote: “He should face his music. I like his songs. Politics is not his turf 🤌🏾”
Responding to him, Davido wrote: “Free and fair election in Nigeria … I would be easily elected …. YOU SEF KNOW”
