Isaac Fayose, a prominent Nigerian voice, has criticized Nigerians for their hypocrisy in focusing on the Bobrisky controversy while ignoring the alleged rigging of the Edo governorship election.
In a recent statement, Fayose expressed dismay at the public’s selective outrage, questioning why Nigerians have remained relatively silent on the serious allegations of electoral manipulation.
“The internet has blown up in the last 2 days because of Bobrisky. But you’ve not been shouting INEC after they successfully rigged Edo Elections,” Fayose said.
Fayose’s comments highlight the disparity in public attention and outrage, with many Nigerians expressing outrage over Bobrisky’s situation while staying quiet on the Edo election controversy.
The Edo election has been marred by accusations of rigging and manipulation, with Governor Godwin Obaseki accusing INEC and the APC of conspiring to postpone the election.
