The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) says it has introduced a new device to fast-track and ease subscribers to beat the Nigeria Communication Commission (NCC)’s NIN-SIM linkage deadline.
Bauchi State Coordinator Malam Ibrahim told our correspondent yesterday the self-modification device has the facilities to update records such as name, address, date of birth as well as email address of the subscribers.
He said they had also provided a website address for those literate to operate their Android devices to update their records without coming down to the office.
Ibrahim said the state has so far received only eight self-modification devices from the NIMC headquarters and has since allocated them to the three senatorial districts.
He said: “We’re not facing any challenges with our facilities, our machines are working effectively as well and our staff are always on the ground to serve the people.”
