Former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, has voiced his frustration with the current state of affairs in Nigeria, calling on citizens to be equally outraged.
“I’m angry with the citizens; people should be angry. There should be protests. We will not vote; there will be no election in our state because of the current rate of hunger,” Amaechi said.
He highlighted the unaffordable cost of diesel as an example of how difficult things have become, adding, “If people like us can’t afford diesel, you can imagine how others are coping”.
Akelicious reports Rotimi Amaechi served as the federal minister of transportation of Nigeria from 2015 to 2022 under the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.
He contested the primaries of the All Progressive Congress (APC) to grab the party ticket for the 2023 Presidential election and lost to the President Bola Tinubu.
