The Nigeria Customs Service NCS has started sale of confiscated N155,157,560 worth of Petroleum Motor Spirit PMS at a subsidised rate of N630 to the people of Adamawa State.
The Customs Comptroller General Bashir Adewale who kicked off the exercise at two filling stations in Yola said the steps was to curb the smuggling activities in the country.
According to him, Operation whirlwind launched in collaboration with the Office of the National Security Adviser continues to make strides in curbing the illegal exportation of petroleum products.
The comptroller General represented by the Deputy Comptroller of Customs in charge of Reinforcement, inspections and investigation Olaniyi Olajogun, says Customs would not relent in fighting all forms of smuggling activities across the Country.
