Hardship: Don’t Lose Hope In Tinubu, APC Leaders Tell Youths

APC, Tinubu

Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Somolu Local Government Area of Lagos State, on Tuesday, urged residents, especially the youth, not to lose hope in the administration of President Bola Tinubu.

The leaders spoke in separate interviews with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos.

Speaking, the immediate past Chairman of Somolu Local Government, Mr Olorogun Bagostowe, said the current socio-economic challenges facing the country would not last.

Bagostowe, who likened the present economic challenges with the pain a pregnant woman experiences before the birth of her baby, assured that Nigerians would soon forget the pains they were going through.

“Our people should calm down, because Nigeria had experienced rot in the past 60 years. Late chief Obafemi Awolowo had said it in the 60s, that with the way the country was being run, the unborn children would suffer for it.”

“What previous administrations should have planned 60 years ago are things President Bola Tinubu is now trying to do now with his reforms and policies. The policy may seem harsh at this stage, but at the end of the day, it will benefit the people of Nigeria.

“I want to tell our people, especially the youth ,to calm down. Things will be okay,” Bagostowe said.

Salawu said that President was trying his best to put the country on the path of sustainable growth and development.

“We need to be patient with Asiwaju, because things had been bad before Tinubu came in, but there will be light at the end of the tunnel.

“Things we change soon. The pain we are going through is just like that of a pregnant woman in labour, which is forgotten as soon as she gives birth” Salawu said.

The chairman urged the youth to shun violence and be engaged in meaningful ventures. (NAN)
