The police in Rivers says it has arrested four suspects in connection with the disappearance of a youth corps member Yahya Faruq.
This was disclosed in a statement made available to newsmen by the state police command spokesperson Grace Iringe-koko.
According to the police, the investigation which led to the arrest of the four suspects have been ongoing immediately the corps member who was deployed to community secondary school Ikuru town was declared missing since October 14th 2024.
The police were said to have summoned the owner of a Chinese firm where the corps member engage in casual work after his teaching job, as he gave a breakdown of how two unidentified individuals took Faruq on a motorcycle from his duty post.
The Rivers state police commissioner CP Mustapha Bala was said to have personally interviewed all parties involved, with a view to unravel the mystery behind the corps member Yahya Faruq disappearance, while his family members from Edo state have also reached out to the Rivers state police command for collaborative efforts
