A Nigerian crossdresser, Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, reportedly spent the night in a female cell at the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex in Alagbon, Lagos State, following his arrest by immigration officials at the Seme Border.
Earlier on Monday, it was reported that Nigerian crossdresser Idris Okunleye, popularly known as Bobrisky, was reportedly arrested on Monday morning while attempting to escape to the Benin Republic.
A source in the Immigration Service had told SaharaReporters that Bobrisky was arrested by the agency at Seme-Nigerian border during passport check. His arrest occurred just hours before he was scheduled to attend a Senate panel of inquiry meeting regarding allegations against him.
Reports indicate that Bobrisky was trying to evade questioning by the Senate.
It was reported that Bobrisky was brought to the FCID around 10 p.m. on Monday after being detained for safekeeping. A source revealed that he was placed in a female cell due to his high-profile lifestyle and concerns for his safety. At the time of his detention, there were no female inmates in the facility, allowing authorities to make this unusual arrangement.
