The member representing Ikwuano/Umuahia federal constituency of Abia State, Hon. Obi Aguocha has paid a visit to one of his constituents, and the embattled leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

The lawmaker visited Nnamdi Kanu in the custody of the Department of States Services (DSS) where he has been detained since 2021.

The visit came after reports emerged that Nnamdi Kanu had been secluded from his lawyers, raising concern on his true state of health.

However, after writing to the leadership of the House and DSS, the lawmaker was eventually allowed to see Kanu, and a resolution was also reached on granting his lawyers access to him.

In a statement on Friday by his media team, Aguocha said he met with Kanu in the company of the IPOB leader’s immediate family member on Thursday, 24th of October 202.
