Addressing his congregation during a ministration session, the clergyman said a man who buys a car for his wife before buying for his mother is a fool.
A man must first love his mother who nurtured him to the point where he sees his wife, Pastor Obi said.
After all, he continued, wives have less commitent to their husbands than the mother who could lay their (mothers) lives for their son.
“It’s very wrong to buy a car for your wife before you buy one for your mother.
Your mother has been there for you since you were a baby and your mother can lay her life down for you but your wife can’t. Your wife’s eyes are on your properties,” the clergyman said.
