Former Delta Governor Ifeanyi Okowa Arrested Over N1.3 Trillion Fraud Allegations

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC on Monday arrested the former governor of Delta state Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa over allegation of fraud and alleged diversion of N1.3Trillion naira 13%derivation fund from the federation account from 2015 to 2023.

The former governor was said to have been arrested in Port Harcourt the Rivers state capital, stating that he was arrested when he reported at their office, after failing to render account for funds he used in acquiring shares in UTM floating liquified Natural Gas amounting to N40billion naira.
