On September 17, 2024, NYSC members heading to Rivers State were reportedly forced to hand over N10 million, under threats and emotional distress.
Following a formal complaint on October 25, 2024, the funds were successfully recovered on November 5.
Victims provided statements, yet the call remains for urgent action to prevent further exploitation by these officers.
