Former Nigerian head of state Gen. Abdulsalam Abubakar has called for unity among Nigerian,s, in overcoming the present economic challenges.
The former head of state made this known during the convocation ceremony of the University of medical sciences, held in the institution auditorium in Obio/Akpor local government area of the state.
Gen Abdulsalami who also serves as the chancellor of the University, expressed confidence that Nigeria will rise above its challenges through collective effort.
On his part, the Rivers state governor Siminalayi Fubara promised to deliver on his mandate despite the distractions in governance.
In his remarks, the pro-chancellor of the institution and former governor of Rivers state Dr. Peter Odili , while congratulating the graduands, urge them to be good ambassadors.
