The Onishe of Ubulu-Uku Kingdom, Chief James Onwordi, also known as Ibori Ubulu @Jamesonwordi has called on Peter Obi, the Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, to join the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

According to the Onishe, Peter Obi joining the PDP would be a welcome development that would sharpen his political career, considering how unpopular the Labour Party has become.

He stated that the PDP can consider Peter Obi as its presidential candidate in 2027, given his popularity and plan for Nigeria.

The Onishe noted that the PDP’s social democratic ideology aligns with Obi’s political views, and his presence would significantly make a huge difference in 2027, as Nigerians are tired of the APC-led administration.

“Peter Obi joining PDP will enhance his political prospects,”

The Onishe said. “PDP has a more extensive national presence, potentially providing Obi with greater visibility and influence. PDP’s established structure and resources will support Obi’s future political endeavors.

“If Peter Obi is serious about the 2027 election, then he should join the PDP.

“We don’t need to divide support and votes from Nigeria in 2027.

“We all know that Labour Party is no longer as strong as it was in 2023.

“Peter Obi will still fail if he contests under the Labour Party, but in PDP, he has a 99% chance of winning the presidential election.”
