The IMT Alumni Association has congratulated the new Rector of IMT Prof Gozie Ogbodo,pledged to give him the maximum support expected of the Alumni body and also build a formidable synergy with him for the projection of the institution’s academic excellence and moral values towards achieving a global educational standards.

Prof Gozie Ogbodo’s appointment by the Executive Governor of Enugu State Dr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah is a welcomed development,by my research about him and interactions with him when I personally visited him he has an enviable academic and administrative records,with human resource management skill.
The outpour of his intellectual capacity,public relations mechanism and plans on IMT Managerial methodology is unique and consciously palatable.
Prof Ogbodo’s academic and administrative background also speak volume about him.
Prof Gozie Ogbodo SJD, FCAarb,Proffessor of Environmental Law and Development is a guru in academic,human resource management and administration.
The technocratic professor whose secondary education/WAEC was at the
College of Immaculate Conception(CIC) , Enugu graduated from the
Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka with a – Bachelors of Law (LL.B) Hons. Later,
The Nigerian Law School, Lagos: Barrister-at-Law.
He subsequently proceed to the prestigious Golden Gate University, San Francisco – Masters of Law (LL.M)
Golden Gate University, San Francisco – Doctor of Juridical Science (SJD),these and several other professional and executive courses both in Nigeria and the overseas.
His academic administrative sojourn began as Assistant Dean, Faculty of Law, University of Benin.

While I thank immensely Gov Peter Mbah for his keen interest and maximum support towards the promotion of Education in Enugu State and the appointment of Prof Gozie Ogbodo as the new Rector of IMT, I strongly believe that Prof Ogbodo will deploy his wealth of experience in the management of IMT both academically and administratively.
I see him as a man of success and he will surely succeed,he has a good and proactive Deputy Rector in the person of Dr Emeka Ejim who was the former Acting Rector after the exit of Prof Nwaeze.
The synergy between these two young men as Rector and Deputy Rector and with the constant support of the Governor of Enugu State will definitely propel IMT to the No 1 spot in Nigeria and Africa on academic standards and rating.
