Nigerian actress Iyabo Ojo has addressed controversial content creator VeryDarkMan (VDM) in a heartfelt message following his recent video where he mentioned her name. In her statement, Iyabo Ojo delved into VDM’s past, expressing empathy for his upbringing while critiquing his behavior and online demeanor.
Reflecting on VDM’s childhood struggles, Iyabo described his life as a product of unresolved trauma stemming from a lack of love, care, and stability during his formative years. She attributed his alleged toxic and narcissistic tendencies to his upbringing, highlighting instances where he resorted to theft as a child to survive.
“Your anger and frustration are misplaced,” Iyabo wrote, adding that VDM’s attacks on successful individuals stem from unresolved pain and anger at his parents, particularly his mother, whom she labeled as a “failed mother.” She questioned the choices of his mother, wondering why she did not take responsibility or provide him with the support needed during his challenging years.
Iyabo further criticized VDM for projecting his anger onto others, saying, “Your obsession with me shows that my name lives rent-free in your head.” She urged him to let go of his hate by first forgiving his parents and finding peace within himself.
While her message was direct and at times scathing, the actress ended on a reflective note, encouraging VDM to heal from his past instead of lashing out at others.
