Mr. Ugochukwu Ezeanyagu, a businessman from Abia State, has recounted a tra¥matic incident involving operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

According to Ezeanyagu, heavily armed EFCC officials stormed his home at Umuobia Olokoro Estate, Umuahia, around 2 a.m. on Friday, December 6, on suspicion of internet fra¥d.

In an interview with ABN TV, Ezeanyagu described how the operatives, some masked, forcibly br+ke through his gates and doors using hammers. They ransacked his home, seized his phone and electronics, but found no incriminating evidence.

He alleged that the worst part of the ordeal was how his eight-month pregnant wife, who was n+ked at the time, was forced to lie face down on the floor during the search. The incident left her in sh+ck, and she has since been hospitalized due to the tra¥ma.

“The most h+miliating part was seeing my wife treated with such disregard for her condition and modesty. They didn’t care about her pregnancy or our humanity,” Ezeanyagu lamented. After realizing their mistake, the EFCC operatives reportedly apologized and left, but the d+mage had already been done.

This incident has sparked concerns about the EFCC’s operational methods, which many have criticized as excessive and unaccountable. Ezeanyagu called for justice and urged the anti-graft agency to adopt more professional and humane approaches to their investigations.
