The Minister of Works, Dave Umahi has reacted after Governor of Ebonyi State, Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru crowned his father, Eze Ezekiel Nwifuru Nwankpu as a traditional ruler on Saturday.
Dave Umahi stated on his verified Facebook page on Sunday; “I was delighted to witness the historic coronation ceremony of His Royal Highness, Eze Ezekiel Nwifuru Nwankpu – Chibugo I of Oferekpe Agbaja Autonomous Community, which took place yesterday. I was honoured to witness such momentous occasion.”
He added; “The ceremony was a grand display of rich cultural heritage and tradition, showcasing the community’s vibrant customs and values. The newly crowned monarch, Eze Ezekiel Nwifuru Nwankpu, exuded wisdom, dignity, and leadership, inspiring confidence in his people.”
He stated further; “As I reflect on the significance of this event, I am reminded of the importance of preserving our cultural identity and promoting unity among our communities.”
He noted; “The coronation of Eze Ezekiel Nwifuru Nwankpu serves as a testament to the enduring spirit of our people and our commitment to upholding our cherished traditions.
He said; “I extend my warmest congratulations to His Royal Highness, Eze Ezekiel Nwifuru Nwankpu, and the entire Oferekpe Agbaja Autonomous Community on this momentous occasion. May the new monarch’s reign be marked by peace, prosperity, and progress for his people, Amen!”
