The Abuja Nnamdi Azikwe international airport has suspended all flight activities by shutting down its runway after an Air Cargo Plane, Allied air with registration number 5N-JRT Crash-Landed on Wednesday.
The aircraft had reportedly experienced a tyre burst and failure of one of its landing gears after it landed. For now, aircraft are only allowed to take-off to various destinations while those arriving the airport are asked not to land.
Disaster averted as airplane broke down on the Abuja runway, forcing Aero Contractors and other airlines to turn back after circling the airport for hours.
Mrs Olubunmi Kuku hurriedly visited the area of Abuja airport where an allied air cargo aircraft skidded off the runway 2 at Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport.
