Senator Tony Nwoye Inspects 1.6km Road Project at University on the Niger

Distinguished Senator Dr Tony Nwoye representing ndi Anambra north senatorial zone has continued to show class by delivering on his campaign promises.

He is delivering projects to all sections, communities and areas within his senatorial zone.

Yesterday, he was at the University On The Niger, Umunya in Oyi LGA to inspect the ongoing road project which he attracted to the school.

University On The Niger is owned and managed by the Anglican Diocese of the Nigeria. The University after years of its approval by the Federal Government has no good access road.

The lack of access road to the University has been one of the major problems of the institution. But the Distinguished Senator Tony Nwoye has come to their rescue.

Touched by the plight of the university, Senator Nwoye started a massive road project which has changed the face of the institution.

The senator was taken on a tour for the inspection at the permanent site in the University by the Anglican Bishop on the Niger, Rt. Rev. Owen Nwokolo PhD, his Wife, Rev Mrs Nwokolo, Dr Chike Obidigbo and other Priests of the Anglican Communion.

The project sites visited by the Senator included the double lane entrance road leading into the University main campus connecting the Administrative block, Lecture halls and the School Auditorium.

The road project also leads to the school hostels, Library and other facilities in the school.

Speaking during the inspection visit, Senator Dr Tony Nwoye said “this is my first time coming here. The 1.6km road project which I am constructing in this place, is a significant investment in the infrastructure of the University community.”

The Senator expressed his satisfaction with the progress of the work, highlighting its importance to the school.

Responding, Bishop Nwokolo who stated that the University on the Niger is a citadel of learning founded for the mastery of truth and knowledge thanked Senator Nwoye for the project and asked for God’s continued protection, blessings and guidance.

Other Priests who spoke during the inspection visit praised the senator for his magnanimity and prayed that God will continue to use him to do good.
