Manchester United has completed the signing of 17-year-old left-back Diego León from Paraguayan club Cerro Porteño. León will officially join the club in July 2025, when he turns 18.
The deal, worth $4 million in fixed fees plus $1 million in easy add-ons and $2-3 million in performance-based bonuses, was sealed by United’s Head of Recruitment, Jason Wilcox, following a recommendation from South America lead scout Giuseppe Antonaccio.
León is regarded as one of South America’s brightest talents and is expected to make an impact at Old Trafford.
