The Nigerian Police Force has arrested Seaking, a well-known TikToker, following the release of a controversial video in which he allegedly incited violence against law enforcement officers. In the video, Seaking urged Nigerian youths to physically assault police officers and “ensure they don’t stand up again.”
Seaking’s remarks were in response to a recent statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, who had announced that the police would begin arresting individuals who insult government officials.
The TikToker criticized this directive and used his platform to call for what he described as a “war against the police.”
His comments have sparked widespread outrage, with many condemning the call to violence. In a swift reaction, the police tracked down and apprehended Seaking. According to sources, he is currently in custody and undergoing interrogation.
The Police Public Relations Department has issued a statement confirming the arrest. “The Nigerian Police Force will not tolerate any actions or statements that promote violence against law enforcement officers or any form of lawlessness. The suspect will be prosecuted in accordance with the law,” the statement read.
