APGA Media Warriors Slam Ozigbo Over Criticism of Soludo’s Security Initiative

The National Coordinator of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Media Warriors Forum, Evangelist Chinedu Obigwe, has condemned recent statements by Valentine Ozigbo criticizing Governor Charles Soludo’s launch of the Operation Udo Ga Achi security initiative. Obigwe described Ozigbo’s remarks as baseless, politically motivated, and an attempt to undermine the achievements of the Soludo administration.

In a press release titled “Re-Soludo Operation Udo Ga Achi Ill-Timed,” Obigwe characterized Ozigbo, a former governorship candidate, as an “enemy of progress” and accused him of trying to politicize Soludo’s efforts to tackle insecurity in Anambra State.

According to Obigwe, the launch of Operation Udo Ga Achi, aimed at reinforcing security and combating crime, is timely and already yielding positive results. He commended the security agencies in the state for their recent successes, including arrests of criminal elements, and emphasized that the governor’s initiative has significantly improved security across the state.

“Under Soludo’s administration, the dreaded unknown gunmen have lost many of their territories, and they have been reduced to hit-and-run criminals,” Obigwe stated. He argued that bank robberies, rampant during previous administrations, are now a thing of the past, and police stations no longer face frequent attacks.

Responding to Ozigbo’s claim that insecurity is worse under Soludo’s government, Obigwe dismissed the statement as “a lie from the pit of hell.” He pointed to historical instances of insecurity under previous administrations, including the discovery of 46 corpses in Ezzu River during Peter Obi’s tenure, as evidence that Soludo’s leadership has brought marked improvement.

Obigwe also refuted allegations that Governor Soludo does not listen to advice, asserting that the governor is receptive to constructive suggestions that benefit the people.

He concluded by urging the public to ignore Ozigbo’s criticisms, describing them as a futile exercise by a politician unable to accept his electoral defeat.

“Whatever Valentine Ozigbo is doing against Governor Soludo’s administration is an exercise in futility,” Obigwe declared.

Governor Soludo launched the Operation Udo Ga Achi initiative as part of his administration’s broader efforts to ensure peace and security in Anambra State. While it has drawn praise from some quarters, the initiative has also sparked political debate among stakeholders in the state.
