Arsenal forward, Gabriel Martinelli has labelled team-mate Bukayo Saka as “one of the best players in the world”.
According to Martinelli, no player in the Gunners squad can replace Saka.
Saka is currently out injured and will be back in action in the next few months.
The England international picked up a hamstring injury during Arsenal’s Premier League win at Crystal Palace in December.
Saka has since undergone surgery and is at the moment in a recovery stage.
Some former Arsenal players including Emmanuel Petit have already urged Martinelli to step up his performances for Mikel Arteta’s side now that Saka is injured.
Petit recently said the Brazilian international needs to improve as Saka is recovering.
However, speaking to TNT Sports, Martinelli said he and his teammates will try their best to help Arsenal in Saka’s absence.
“No one can replace him. He is one of the best players in the world,” Martinelli said.
“We trust in ourselves and we will try our best for the club.”
Martinelli alongside Gabriel Jesus and Mikel Merino was on the scoresheet as Arsenal defeated Brentford 3-1 on Wednesday.
