Chief Onyemelukwe Congratulates New Ohaneze Ndi Igbo President, Urges Unity and Dialogue in Southeast

Chief Onyemelukwe Eusebius Zonyelu, an ex-banker, financial expert, and Senatorial aspirant for Anambra South Senatorial District, has congratulated Senator John Azuta-Mbata on his election as the new president of Ohaneze Ndi Igbo Worldwide. Zonyelu, a prominent advocate for positive change in his community, described the election as a welcome development for the Igbo people and called on the new president to foster unity and peace among Igbos worldwide.

In his statement, Zonyelu urged Senator Azuta-Mbata to approach his role with diplomacy and love for the people, emphasizing the need to work collaboratively with the Federal Government and other ethnic groups to ensure peace, justice, and unity reign in the country. He also appealed to Azuta-Mbata to address the ongoing security challenges in the Southeast region, advocating for dialogue with all relevant parties, including the government, to restore peace and security.

Zonyelu, who is actively involved in development efforts within his Senatorial District, highlighted several key issues that he believes are essential for the progress of Anambra State and the Southeast region. Among them, he commended the construction of the Ekwulobia flyover, which he believes will bring economic transformation to the Aguata region. Zonyelu also emphasized the need for agricultural growth, food security, and the development of Onitsha River Port by both the Federal and State governments.

Furthermore, Zonyelu called for economic reforms, equal support for both government and mission schools in Anambra, and the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. He also proposed the construction of a roundabout flyover and dualization of roads linked to the proposed around about flyover where there us Olizu statue at the heart of Nnewi, he also calls for a partnership between the Anambra State Government and private sector players to build a modular refinery at Aguereri.

In his concluding remarks, Zonyelu appealed to all Nigerians, especially those of Igbo extraction, as well as civil societies and the Federal Government, to offer their full support to the newly elected president of Ohaneze Ndi Igbo to ensure that Nigeria is restored to a place of peace, unity, and prosperity.
