Pep Guardiola is reportedly preparing to move out of his £8.5 million family mansion in Barcelona following the end of his 30-year marriage to Cristina Serra.

The Manchester City manager, who shares three grown-up children—Maria, 24, Marius, 22, and Valentina, 17—with his fashion entrepreneur wife, had made the property his base during visits to his hometown.

The luxury mansion, located in one of Barcelona’s most exclusive neighborhoods, was previously owned by former Barcelona player Rafa Márquez. Guardiola acquired the four-story home in February 2021 for £8.5 million from a Russian businessman through a company he co-managed with Cristina.

The expansive property boasts over 22,000 square feet of land and an 8,000-square-foot house, complete with a large swimming pool. Its proximity to the scenic Carretera de les Aigües trail made it a sought-after residence.

When news of the purchase surfaced in June 2021, many speculated that Guardiola might be considering a return to Barcelona, especially after Joan Laporta’s re-election as the club’s president. Cristina had moved into the home two years earlier after leaving Manchester to resettle in Barcelona.

However, recent reports indicate that Guardiola is planning to vacate the property following the couple’s separation. According to El Confidencial, the house was described as “the perfect place for a discreet separation.”

Despite their reported split, the couple is said to have spent the recent holiday season together at the mansion with their children. Guardiola is now expected to continue living in a £2.7 million luxury apartment in Salford.

Meanwhile, Barcelona-based newspaper Sport claims that the couple decided to part ways while spending time together in Spain last December.
