Over two hundred operational vehicles, drone cameras, e-trackers and other sophistcated hi-tech security gadgets have been launched by the Executive Governor of Anambra state, Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo to mobilise the law enforcement agents and newly established security outfit “Agunechemba”, to locations to repel marauding kidnappers and daredevil criminals in the state.
Leading the charge, Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo appealed to residents to support federal security forces and the newly established Agunechemba security operatives, with intelligence and civil networks assuring that the State Government has men and materials to win the war against all forms of criminality in the state.
The Convener Anambra Independent Media Conference, Dr Chuma-Odili Harris a.k.a Ogene Ndigbo while congratulating Gov Soludo on the giant stride, said “Mr Governror, today, you have demonstrated how ready and committed you are on this mission to flush out criminals in the state. As we all know, no campaign can succeed without people’s co-operation and popular participation in the government’s effort to crush criminals”
According to Dr Chuma-Odili, “The criminals who are disturbing us, are not ghosts but humans, nevertheless, they are a tiny minority. They can never withstand united and determined people who take their security seriously”.
Lending his voice to the appeal in Anambra, the APGA Chieftain and frontliner in the forthcoming Anambra South Senatorial District by-election Sir Patrick Nnaemeka Ubajaka(Ike Nnewi) lauded Mr governors determination to defeat kidnappers and armed robbers in the state.
He commended the enactment of Home Land Security Law, and government’s commitment to the renewed offensive against kidnapping and other forms of criminality.
Commending Soludo for the bold steps being taking to stamp out the criminals, he expressed optimism that the people of Anambra will throw their weight behind the offensive.
Sir Ubajaka calls for total integration of community groups into the support system and more federal forces presence in the state.
Also, the National President of Civil Society Organizations against Corruption, Barr Samuel Ifedi commended Gov Soludo for the campaign against kidnapping in the state. He pledged the support of civil society organizations in the renewed fight against criminality in the state .
