Kaduna State Voice of Women in Nigeria Leadership Initiatives (VOWINLI)
have cried out to the Nigerian government to find a long lasting solution to the wave of Hunger, unemployment, insecurity and starvation ravaging the country.
Addressing media reporters in Kaduna the State PRO Princess Grace Adejoh said as mothers, wives, and daughters; the women are tired of the situation in Nigeria and are begging the government to use their power to restore peace and try to bring down prices of food stuffs in Kaduna and Nigeria at large.
Her words “We have lost lives over violent conflicts to terrorists, women have become widows and hundreds of children have turned orphans.
We have lost friends and family members. We have lost people we don’t know but we still feel their pains.”
The women group “Voice of women in Nigeria Leadership initiatives Kaduna Chapter” expressed serious concern over the devastating impact of painful activities such as Hunger, banditry, unemployment and starvation all of which have impacted negatively on the economic activities in Nigeria.
According to the State Coordinator, Hajia Aisha Adamu Alhassan also said however we will continue to mobilize women to promote peace for National development.
such an initiative including welfare for women and children will go a long way to curb violence in the country.
Mrs Elizabeth Wenji the assistant state coordinator is calling on the government to please intervene on the impact on food scarcity in the country, we are all starving, cost of living and food stuff is not business as usual.
The group also want the government to look into the issues of unemployment, because majority of our graduates too need government assistance.
