The Supreme Court has made a decision stating that the old and new naira notes will retain their status as legal tenders.
It has been ordered that the old N200, N500, and N1000 notes continue to be accepted until there is a further update.
The apex court has also ruled that both the old and new notes can still be used until the Federal Government establishes a proper procedure for their replacement or redesign, following appropriate consultations with relevant parties.
